Overview
An excavation permit is necessary for excavating within the City right-of-way. This includes street pavement, sidewalks running adjacent to the street, and the parkway area adjacent to the street (right-of-way will vary by location). All work performed in the right-of-way must be in accordance with City specifications.  An excavation permit is generally required for, but not limited to:
