I have water leaking in my yard/street. What do I do?
Contact Missouri American Water at 314-996-2420. They will send a representative out to take a look. If it is a homeowner's service line, you will be given detailed information to submit a repair request through the St. Louis County Department of Public Works.

My drain/sewer is backing up. What do I do?
Contact a plumber. Routine clogs or tree roots should be easily removed. Your plumber will indicate if it is a broken sewer lateral. If it is, contact the City for repair details at 314-963-5357 or visit our section on
sanitary sewer lateral repair.
3.
Do I need a permit to excavate within the City right-of-way?
An excavation permit is necessary for excavating in the City's right-of-way (this includes street pavement, sidewalks running adjacent to the street, and the parkway area adjacent to the street).
